After reviewing the source material, a Silvergate Project Manager gathers a team of uniquely qualified experts both with regard to linguistic ability as well as industry experience.
All of our translators are bi or trilingual with complete proficiency with both the source and target languages. They are familiar with the culture of the source language and are often natives of the target language. These tools help them accurately understand the subtle connotations and idioms in the source text, and present them in a grammatically accurate fashion.
To accurately translate source material, it is of critical import that the translator has first hand knowledge of the subject matter. The Silvergate team includes bilingual attorneys, engineers, doctors, and scientists whose backgrounds give them extensive familiarity with the subject material and allows them to complete translations in an accurate fashion.
All of our translators go through a rigorous vetting process. During this procedure we research jobs completed, employment history, and educational background. Only those with the necessary qualifications and who have demonstrated their ability in the past are employed at Silvergate.
Our translators are members of, or certified by, The American Translators Association (ATA) or comparable distinguished translation associations.
