Quality Assurance

It is often hard to measure the quality of translations provided by other companies. Often the terms "accurate" and "inaccurate" are subjective, and a translation is often negatively impacted by the translator's background and culture.

Clients usually only understand the target text, and are relying solely on the translator/firm to provide an accurate translation.

It is for these reasons that Silvergate Translations has developed various Quality Assurance (QA) practices.

  1. A qualified Silvergate Project Manager and supporting staff are readily available to handle communications with the client and ensure customer satisfaction.
  2. We perform diligent research to guarantee that the tasks at hand are properly assigned to translators that understand both the language and culture of the source text. Issues regarding different cultural and stylistic approaches become increasingly insignificant as our translators understand both the native language and culture.
  3. Tasks are assigned to translators who have continuously proven their abilities in their specific dialect and industry.
  4. Special focus is placed on formatting to reflect the appearance of the original document.
  5. All completed translations go through a thorough proofreading process during which any slight grammatical or textual errors are corrected.
  6. Suggested modifications are incorporated into completed translations in a timely manner, upon approval of the translator.
